With over 15 years of experience I have been able to give back to my community in several different ways. I have had the pleasure of being the spokesman for a large metropolitan police department, conduct complex investigations, and coordinate a intensive training program for a multi jurisdictional police academy. As a decorated police officer, I offer high quality performance in a stressful environment while still ensuring the goals and expectations of all stakeholders are met.Communications Specialist: Over several years of acting as the spokesman for large and small police departments, I have been involved in a number of high profile incidents. Completing and preparing press releases that has given our community much needed information while still maintaining the sensitive nature of police investigations. From the creation of social media platforms that have drawn thousands of followers, to the creation of communications policies, I have built years of experience developing communications strategies with the creation of government citizen relationships.Trainer: Career development of new recruits through an intensive training program. Ensuring that the new recruits are aware of policy and procedure, officer safety situations and building confidence as they navigate through a 16 week training program. Investigator: Complete complex investigations and assessment through criminal law. Ensure that the quality of the investigation is complete, detailed, and to the expectations of the agency. This is done through community service oriented response as well as detail interviews and interrogation of suspects. At the conclusion of the investigation make the appropriate and legal determination and act accordingly.Coordinator: Administration coordinator for the arrest control program with a multi jurisdictional police academy. With the coordination of training days, enlistment of instructors and support staff, I ensure that state requirements are being met for 40-50 recruits over a span of two academy classes a year.Public Relations: The creation and development of relationships with communities are the upmost importance of any communications specialist. As the coordinator of the Youth Education and Safety in schools program, as well as the parents academy, I have fostered relationships with the community to ensure that they are updated on all relevant information and that community programs are easily accessible and pertinent to all police activities.
