Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer
Current1. Deploy, configure, and maintain the SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) and Squared Up monitoring tool set to monitor our infrastructure effectively.2. Develop and implement monitoring strategies, best practices, and procedures to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact system performance or availability.3. Monitor the performance, capacity, and availability of servers, networks, databases, applications, and other critical infrastructure components using SCOM and Squared Up.4. Analyze monitoring data and alerts to identify trends, troubleshoot problems, and proactively recommend solutions for improving system performance and reliability.5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish monitoring thresholds, policies, and response actions to ensure effective incident management and resolution.6. Conduct regular health checks and performance assessments of the infrastructure to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.7. Maintain up-to-date documentation, including monitoring configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.8. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents promptly, taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks and minimize downtime.9. Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to infrastructure monitoring and management.
