In my role as UX Designer at Switzerland's largest online store I get to improve the online shopping experience of millions of customers.My work as a UX Designer on the Search Team has given me multiple opportunities to glimpse into the minds of our Users to try to understand their problems and pains in the Product Discovery Journey. Through Interviews, Usability Testings, Behavioral Data we seek out problems our Users are facing and try to come up with efficient, elegant and clever solutions.

As a Screen Designer by The House, I was part of a team creating and executing concepts for advertising campaigns, websites, apps and more. It was exciting to work for multiple Swiss and International clients and to get to know the advertising industry a bit better.

I joined Videofy as a designer in 2013. Back then the company had just started growing and I quickly had to get my hands dirty with designing mobile apps, web pages for videos and users and doing a lot of promotional materials. Getting a chance to work on everything from full app designs to e-mail newsletters taught me a lot of different aspects of the designer role.In 2014 I was promoted to Product Lead, and took more responsibility for strategy, product development, conceptualization and project management while still retaining my design tasks. We worked in an agile environment, something I do enjoy. I formally left the company in December 2015 to move to Zürich where my girlfriend got a job, but I'm still doing freelance work for Videofy and advice on strategy.

As part of my education I did an internship with Stockholm based web agency WeAhead. Me and another intern were tasked with re-designing one of their internal tools. Getting a taste for working in the industry and learning what it takes to work in a professional digital environment were invaluable lessons.
