Born in Corum (Mecitozu) in 1973, Bilgin graduated from the Maritime Business & Management Department at the Maritime Faculty of Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir. Mr. Bilgin acted as Chairman of a ship supply company (Arma Marine Services S.A./TURKIYE), between the years 2000 to 2016. After having transferred his shares to his partners, in 2016, Bilgin founded “Mare Supply & Services (TURKIYE)”. With over 25 years of experience Mare Supply & Services provides “marine and offshore supplies, marine equipment, spare parts, and numerous services, and consists of a completely marine staff. Currently; He is The Chairman and founder of "Flagship Ship Agencies Inc", “Mare Trading LLC (USA)”, “Mare Logistics LLC (USA)”, “Mare Logistics A.S. (TURKIYE)” and "Casa Mare LLC (USA) and, also has been acting as the Turkish representative of various companies worldwide. Bilgin, who has been acting as a member of The Professional Committee No. 21 and The Assembly Member of the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping (TURKIYE), The Member of the Board of Governors and Secretary-General of the Turkish Ship Suppliers Association (TURSSA), the Member of the Turkish Maritime Association (TURDEF), and also taken place as manager and member in many local & international non-governmental organizations. In his social life, Bilgin is a member of the Association of Dokuz Eylul University Maritime Faculty Graduates (DEFMED), the Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association (TURMEPA), and member of the Congress of the Besiktas Gymnastics Club (BJK) & a track/rally pilot licensed by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) and holds various cups/ratings in track championships. Bilgin who is married has a daughter and a son and has a good command of the English language.
