Osman Dereli holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences and a master's degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois, United States of America.Between 1997 and 2008, he worked as a Tax Inspector in Istanbul and conducted tax audits of large companies. Between 2008 and 2012, he worked as a Head of Group at the Revenue Administration where he managed for 4 years and provided opinions and issued tax rulings on various tax issues. Between 2012-2016, he served as the Founding Vice President of the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority (POA) for 4 years. During this period, he took part in the preparation of audit and accounting standards, as well as the preparation of independent audit regulations in our country.Between 2016-2020, he served as the President of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK). During this period, he specialized in FATF standards MASAK's regulations and practices within legislation of money laundering and financing of terrorism as well as AML/CFT compliance, international money transfers.Between 2020 and 2023, Osman Dereli served as the Advisor to the Minister of Treasury and Finance and also served as the President of the Bail Fund.In July 2023, he joined RYMreform as a partner.
