The capacity of the airport is planned to reach 25 million passengers per year after the new terminal becomes active.For Kuwait International Airport Terminal-II contract; LİMAK İNŞAAT has been appointed as the contractor firm by Kuwait Ministry of Public Works. The project consists of 1 million cubic meters of concrete and over 150 thousand tons of structural steel. In addition, over 200 thousand tons of temporary steel were used for structural steel and concrete erection.Within the scope of the project, I worked as a Quality Control Engineer in the Limak Insaat Steel Quality Control department.Inspections Performed at Manufacturing and Assembling Steel• Project standard AWS D1.1 is used for welding visual controls WQT, WPS and PQR within the scope of manufacturing and assembly. Those vessels have volume between 3 m3 and 500 m3 and they can be used as storage of nitrogen, argon, oxygen, carbon dioxide etc. Generally as a NDT quality control engineer, I have been doing non-destructive testing (VT, PT, MT, RT) of longitudinal welds, circumferential welds, piping and valve accessories welds.
