I work with developers and construction companies on contract compliance and adherence to government affirmative action policies. Additionally, I advise MBE, WBE, DBE & SLBE firms as well as non-certified minority and woman owned businesses on how to maximize business opportunities through the certification process.

Elected in 2011, reelected in 2014, to oversee the district’s superintendent, a staff of approximately 1,000, and over 6,500 students. Responsible for proper administration of its $80 million budget. Serve as its liaison to citizenry and governmental entities in the community.

Attorney in the Human Relations Department of KCMO. Analyzed and ensured compliance on 100 construction projects worth over 3 billion dollars for KCMO and its statutory agencies. Acted as the City’s sole Affirmative Action compliance officer for Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority (LCRA) projects. Served as governmental ombudsman to redevelopers and construction companies.

Plan and organize the largest annual media law event in the country. This eight hour CLE hosted by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association is attended by over 275 attorneys nationally. Duties include drafting reports for panelists, conducting background research on media related legal issues, and serving on the planning committee to frame each year's topics.
