Osman Nasir is a technology and business professional with over 16 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. He has played a key role in product development, partnerships, and technology business development initiatives across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Pakistan.As the Managing Director of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Osman led Pakistan's premier organization for promoting the export of technology products and services globally. He developed and implemented Pakistan's first IT Export Strategy, which included programs for national human resource development, countrywide tech-ready infrastructure availability, access to finance, and ease of doing business. while on the demand side, the strategy involved the execution of programs for business development, marketing, and global partnerships. He also founded the TECH destiNATION PAKISTAN brand campaign. These initiatives resulted in achieving 81% growth in IT exports during his tenure.Osman has developed multiple technology enablement roadmaps and has led various public-private policy committees which have worked on regulatory guillotine processes, reducing bureaucratic friction through automation and enabling digital governance.Previously, Osman led the development of a TV content aggregation business which became one of the most used indigenous video content platforms from Pakistan, with global viewership. Osman has designed and led the deployments of multiple large-scale citywide broadband networks and country-level Domain Name Systems for Pakistan, Australia, and Singapore DNS authorities, and telecom operators. Currently, Osman is leading product development and partnerships at Mahaana Wealth, Pakistan's first digital asset management company, backed by Y-Combinator. The company uses digital onboarding and AI-based risk profiling to democratize wealth management. He is also advising Kistpay and E-Ocean to enable digital and financial inclusion through smartphone distribution, eHealth and e-Education services, and activating digital transformation through traders' and vendors' e-commerce activation, and smart collateralizing of micro-SME loans.Osman holds a Bachelor's degree in Technology and an MBA in International Business from Cardiff Business School. He also has earned several technology certifications, including cloud engineering, 5G technologies, Blockchain applications, project management, product management, and negotiation management from accredited institutions including the MIT Sloan School of Business.
