I am a graduate of IUPUI with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Management from the IU Fairbanks School of Public Health, and also an MBA graduate from LSU Shreveport. I have also received my green belt certification in the Six Sigma Methodology. Currently, I am a Quality Programs Coordinator for 2nd.MD in Houston, Texas. I am responsible for ensuring proper analysis and documentation of healthcare savings for our clients and our company; I am also apart of the Diversity Inclusion Council. Before my time as a Quality Programs Coordinator, I was a Clinical Data Coordinator, had to complete and manage various projects, and these projects included handling quarterly and annual reports, completing health audits, and researching and creating data reports. I had to manage, maintain, and track data for database maintenance and entry. My position as a coordinator gave me the opportunity to work with a team, which has included doctors, nurses, therapists, and case managers. I learned how to plan, organize, and implement deadlines for my team to ensure efficiency for projects. Aside from my time as a Clinical Data Coordinator, I was an Academic Coordinator for Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. During my time in this position, I was responsible for supervising, training, and guiding college mentors. These work experiences helped me to hone my organizational, administrative, collaborative, and communicative skills. The result of these experiences helped me to gain more than four years in both an academic and healthcare setting; as well as two years of supervisory experience.
