At 15 years old I left my family and migrated to the United States in search of a job and higher education opportunities. I didn't speak the language, I didn't have any relatives or money, but I had a dream. I started as an entrepreneur, as years went by I started to understand that my purpose is not to make money for the luxuries and freedom that it gives. Instead ,the real enjoyment comes from helping those around me and by caring for the earth that brought me here. As I try to find the purpose I serve to humanity I am studying Biochemistry to understand diseases and how we can develop new drugs or regulate our genes for a healthier life. I am constantly seeking for new information about the challenges we face in our environment, and the impact and stress that we put on our planet by misuse of our resources. My goal with this knowledge and wisdom in the long term are to work in industry to develop better strategies for using our resources in the food market, and use that knowledge to create a new company that provides nutritious and fresh products that can compete with sugary and unhealthy products derived from animals because we are what we eat.
