A dynamic character, who relishes life. Values that include integrity, empathy, loyalty and courage are the pillars on which she lives every aspect of her life. These values guide her interactions with others and reflect her dedication to making a positive impact in both her professional and volunteer roles. While searching for an interest for her eldest son (heart defect & cerebral palsy) in 2006/7, she discovered disability sports. She met a sports development officer. Through this discovery, an entire new world opened for them both. She has been involved in Rebel Wheelers Multi Sports Club from its inception. Volunteer roles include Saturday Morning Club leader and club secretary 2008-2013. Through this connection, both Jean and her son discovered para athletics, a sport her son revels in. She has served as support staff, bus driver, coach, safeguarding officer and committee member since 2011. Currently she serves on the IPAMC. Volunteer duties currently include committee member, national safeguarding officer, competition preparation and results coordinator. Her dedication as a volunteer demonstrates her commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for athletes of all abilities. In her professional life, Jean has a diverse background in retail, administrative, communication and supervisory roles. She has honed a versatile skill set which complements her current career in project management. Working in the healthcare industry, her current role is instrumental in facilitating organisational change through the implementation, configuration, testing, training and troubleshooting of a system. The end goal of the project is to improve healthcare.
