I have always assumed if you don't enjoy going to work, there is very little chance you will be successful. This goes for yourself and the others around you. Many years in the food & beverage industry have taught me a lot about running a business and managing people. Figuring out how to let people be themselves and inspire themselves to do good work. Learning how to create a positive work environment that continues everyday regardless of the stresses put on people is a task larger one person. Have positive people around you! The growth Saskatoon Golf Club has seen during my time here has taught me a lot about the business side. Having to learn and develop systems to deal with payroll, human recourses, ordering, computers and networking, software implementation and changes, developing inventory systems, opening a new facility, hiring and training staff, event planning, and being flexible in a changing environment has been a challenge. But i have enjoyed the challenges presented along the way.The things I have learned will travel well.
