I Categorize bills by number and committee in preparation for introduction and entry in both the computerized database and the Assembly introduction book;My team and I Maintain a Senate book, which is a listing of all Senate bills received by the Assembly and any action that is taken on them.I Assist in the preparation of the calendars for each daily session by adding the new bills which have been favorably reported from committee, deleting those bills which have passed the Assembly, and including those bills which are restored to the calendar.I am Responsible for the breakdown and distribution of introduction memos to legal research and marking of desk calendars to indicate Assembly floor action. Another responsibility is recording the action as it occurs in the second and third reading books, the Assembly Introduction book, and the Senate reception book; Our Office is tasked with the transmittal to the Senate of all bills which pass the Assembly and the delivery of bills to the Governor's office and the Secretary of State.

My roles were calling local voters in Ulster County as well as holding weekly phonebanks to reach out and call Spanish speaking voters across New York State.I was responsible for running regional social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter for the Mid-Hudson Valley.

I learned invaluable skills and knowledge working with Assemblyman Mike Lawler and his team. During the New York State Assembly Internship I was getting firsthand experience in legislative research, bill tracking and community outreach. The Internship also balanced an academic curriculum centered around quantitative data analysis and political theory.
