I am curious and interested in learning and teaching. I have a great passion for Mechanical Engineering, both as a means to generate wealth and as a way to solve problems.I have over ten years of experience in using and developing computational models for simulating biological tissues. During this period, I extensively used commercial simulation and design software. When necessary, I developed my own programs for tasks such as optimization of constitutive parameters, generating 3D geometries as well as post-processing simulation and experiment results (including image processing for displacement field measurement).During this same period, I planned and conducted dozens of experiments involving orthopedic prostheses, sutures, and biological materials, predominantly of animal origin, with one exception were human tissue was tested. In conducting these tests, I employed techniques such as DIC (Digital Image Correlation), the use of strain gauges for custom sensor fabrication, design and construction of thermal baths, experiment monitoring system setup with cameras including high-speed camera usage. I also gained experience with PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) and stereoscopic image processing (OptiTrack).In recent years, I led an initiative to transform the research conducted by our group into an innovative startup. This startup aims to provide physiotherapists with Achilles tendon simulation software. The initiative was awarded two grants, the Catalisa ICT stages 2 and 3, in which the group received training in entrepreneurship and a founding of USD 30,000.For the past two years, I have been working as a professor in online technical courses. I had the opportunity to plan and deliver classes to hundreds of students of different ages and backgrounds all over Brazil, including a student with special needs. The classes are delivered synchronously to audiences that can sometimes exceed 100 students simultaneously, and they are also recorded for those who couldn't participate. Additionally, I taught some classes in undergraduate and graduate Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
