• Ensures implementation of accounting policies, guidelines and standards in the accounting teams. (IFRS and specifics of the Knorr-Bremse Group);• Responsible for IFRS reporting and implementation of IFRS 15 - Revenue from Contracts with Customers; IFRS 9 - Financial Instruments and IFRS 16 - Leases in all entities in Brazil;• Involved in an appropriate and timely manner to attend the timeline from Group. “The program “IFRS goes ERP” is the overall initiative of Knorr-Bremse to make the ERP Systems ready for financial reporting which is in line with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);• Provides advice in use and interpretation of accounting data;• Decides resource allocation in the teams supervised;• Manages all bookkeeping operations, including general ledger accounting, A/P or A/R and inventory accounting, cash reimbursements and travel expenses;• Completes regular -monthly, quarterly, and yearly - closings and reports, for all stakeholders;• Completes account reconciliation. Including overdue analysis and provisions;• Manages the preparation of unit’s balance sheet, P&L reports, annual financial statements;• Lead the team to attend the independent audit of Financial Statements;• Prepares tax statements and cooperates with tax authorities, external auditors and external tax advisors, on an accountable level;• Manages specialized teams of Accounting Professionals and Operations staff in different organizational settings.
