Othniel Andrew (Andra) has a Masters in Science (Organic chemistry) and other leadership qualifications from abroad, and worked as a Scientific Officer in a Chemical company before starting the Calvary Centre (Charitable Trust) Inc., to rebuild lives and mentor the next generation. "Calvary" stands for service, suffering and sacrifice out of love for God and man! On the cross of Calvary, Lord Jesus suffered a cruel death offering His life as a sacrifice to save and redeem mankind from all sins and bondages. His life and ministry are example and model for our work.Our vision and mission revolve round these 3 S's: Serve to the extent of Suffering and Sacrificing in love for others. Amen.

Othniel Andrew (Andra) has been involved in a variety of activities through his NGO/ Charity Organization, since 1985. Projects include community development centres called Jeevan Vikas Kendras in underprivileged and backward areas of the urban slums and villages. Activities include educational skill training for students on Computers, English-speaking and tailoring classes for women and Sunday Kids clubs for children to enhance the quality of life, etc.Also, leadership training for the community leaders, youth personality development seminars, family life seminars and counseling offered to all these people. Worked as a Scientific Officer in a Chemical Company that manufactured Chemical intermediates, Dyes and Pesticides. In-charge of quality control lab. for almost 2 yrs, from 1982 through 1984.Looked after overseeing the company plant production of Dye intermediates and chemicals in shift duties. And also worked in laboratory. Was awarded double increment due to honest work ethics after the first year.Was miraculously kept away (and thus saved) from a Chemical explosion in the lab in 1983. Resigned to go to take up full-time charity work since Jan'1985.
