I started my career in the Norwegian Navy, where I learned the fundamentals of traditional seamanship, deckwork, and navigation. This foundation led me to pursue higher education. After years of study and time at sea, I earned my Master Mariner certification—the highest level a deck officer can achieve. During my service as an officer on various offshore vessels, I truly began to develop my leadership, risk management, and safety (HSE) skills.My 12 years at sea were primarily spent on multipurpose supply vessels (MPSVs) engaged in diverse and challenging operations within the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors. My assignments ranged from complex ROV and diving operations to cable laying, W2W, trenching, seismic surveys and more. A particularly challenging role was serving as Chief Officer on the Siem Pilot for the EU's FRONTEX operation during the 2015 migrant crisis, where I led the vessel's deck department through challenges none of us was prepared for.Transitioning to a shore-based role, I took on commercial responsibilities, managing operations and chartering off offshore barges. I balance strategic planning, budget management, and contract negotiation across seafood, infrastructure, oil & gas, and renewable energy sectors. This role has enabled me to further develop my skills in communication, relationship building, and navigating international markets.I am driven by the opportunity to create strategies that blend my hands-on offshore experience with commercial insight. I am passionate about competence development, fostering innovation, and leveraging technology to drive projects forward. As a leader, I focus on building solid and inclusive teams and promoting sustainable practices.
