Orondaam Otto is a committed social entrepreneur, policy leader and education advocate dedicated to ensuring that every child in Africa, regardless of their socioeconomic background, has access to quality education. With nearly two decades of experience, he has effectively mobilized governments, global institutions, corporate organizations and local communities to collaborate on innovative, systemic solutions for Africa's education challenges.As the Founder and Executive Director of Slum2School Africa, Orondaam has built one of Africa's most impactful volunteer-driven initiatives, which has directly supported over 685,450 children. His work encompasses building schools in low-income communities, early childhood development centers, establishing STEM and innovation labs, deploying technology to facilitate digital learning, providing educational scholarships and skills, developing at-risk youths and adopting public schools to provide transformative educational experiences.In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Orondaam led his team to create Africa's first virtual learning studio, ensuring continued access to education for thousands of children. This innovative approach has been widely recognized as a pivotal step in remote learning on the continent.Orondaam’s expertise extends beyond direct educational interventions; he actively contributes to global policy advocacy and institutional reform in collaboration with organisations like UNESCO, UNICEF, the United Nations Global Compact, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and many more. As a co-founder of the Education Reform and Innovation Team, he played a strategic role in reshaping policies that foster sustainable development and educational access in Nigeria. His contributions have garnered international recognition and his leadership and impact have been featured on various global platforms like CNN, BBC, Reuters, Forbes and many more. Academically, Orondaam holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he sits on the board of the Alumni Association and several other boards.At the heart of Orondaam’s mission is the conviction that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute positively to society.
