I have founded and I am now managing the Existential Risk Observatory, a nonprofit aiming to reduce human extinction risks by informing the public debate.

At Eneco, I'm helping out the team by modelling heat network costs for multiple projects on a freelance basis.

Together with my co-founder, we've developed an app (laadje.nl) that can charge your electric car whenever there is most wind and solar power, saving 15% CO2 emissions and 240 euros per year. Apart from the commercial work, I also created our smart charging algorithm and a CO2 model in Python.

I advised the scientific bureau of GroenLinks Nederland on smart grids on a freelance basis.

I built data science models to generate sustainable business cases in the energy transition at Vattenfall. Worked in Python, NumPy, SciPy, Jupyter, PySpark, and GeoDMS. Also created visualizations in PowerBI and Leaflet.My models were used to calculate business case figures for district heating business cases in Amsterdam, Arnhem, and Nijmegen.

Worked in the Data and Reporting Advisory team within Risk. Worked on a project at a large corporate to reduce its revenue leakage using data analysis.

At global top ten wind turbine manufacturer XEMC, I set up a data analysis program together with a six-member Dutch-Chinese team. I managed and co-created our cost-effective and super reliable Data Acquisition Box in C# and Java, to be applied on over 2000 wind turbines in China. With the team, we also created a data analysis toolbox in MATLAB. Finally, I performed data analysis and also adviced Chinese colleagues on it.

As loads engineer, I was part of the design loop which resulted in design of multiple complete on- and offshore wind turbines. I learned all wind energy ins and outs from experienced colleagues. I also drafted a loads comparison report which led to certification of our XD115-5 MW offshore prototype.

Data analysis leading to the European certification and export of one of the main products, a 2 MW turbine, also implementation of analysis standard with the aim of safeguarding quality.
