As the Head of Marketing and Communications, I develop and deliver comprehensive marketing strategies and communications for the four entities that make up the Cathedral family: the Cathedral itself, as well as the commercial, fundraising, and membership arms.I manage a talented marketing and communications team, ensuring we have the skills and resources for current and future success. This includes oversight of data compliance and management of a CRM system for effective communication and fundraising.With a focus on data-led analysis to measure impact, the team's creative campaigns support the Cathedral's strategic objectives. Post-pandemic, this has seen a focus on increasing footfall, generating additional income through commercial and charitable giving initiatives, and supporting the growth of new audiences, relationships, and partnerships.A critical focus remains on enhancing the visitor/user journey. Over the past year, our data analysis has shown that the experience of visiting the Cathedral is highly valued (over 81% rating their experience as ‘Very Good’), the Cathedral's Net Promoter Score (a customer success metric) falls within the ‘Excellent’ category, and the Cathedral was also rated on the Which? list of top attractions.
