About Ounissa Quaid

I have recently joined Madden & Assoc. as a Senior Account Manager, where I will work with clients across the corporate and finance space to craft impactful communications strategies that support overarching corporate goals.Before joining Madden, I held the position of Senior Account Manager at Mana Communications, where I worked on a number of international clients - ranging from biotech to government. Prior to this, I worked with City of Boroondara Council, where I helped to design and implement cross-departmental internal and external communications strategies for local Victorian government through collaboration with multiple stakeholders.I previously held the position of Analyst for Powerscourt's Dublin team. Based in London and Dublin, it specialises in strategic financial and corporate communications and public relations.As part of this role, I worked on corporate communications and public relations strategies for clients across a variety of industries; including aviation, financial services, insurance, legal, real estate, technology and telecoms. I received a First Class Honours for my Master’s degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communications from Dublin City University in 2020. My thesis was entitled 'The Digital Age of Culture and Global Interdependence: Establishing an Effective Framework for Global Public Relations Strategy in a Contemporary World'. Research involved obtaining first-hand insights from global industry leaders in the public relations and communications industry, examining these whilst placing them alongside both traditional public relations and cultural theory. This was in order to challenge the theoretical relevance of this literature in an increasingly digital world.I am social, open-minded and enjoy meeting new people on a regular basis. I have also spent some time living in Spain, France and the Netherlands, which have enhanced my language and intercultural communication skills. I have a great interest in travel and learning about new cultures, which is reflected in my work experience. The diverse employment positions I have held have also helped me in developing my team-working, problem-solving and organisational skills.
