About Jo Cicci

Although I've had the desire to paint since childhood, I didn't realize my dream until 2003, when my husband surprised her with easel and paints.From then on, I have found my inspiration in the beauty of nature, landscapes, and interesting architecture. My work consists mostly of acrylics on canvas, but I have also created in charcoal on paper. My work has shown at galleries, the NC State Fair Art Competition, art shows through my church and at local Raleigh-area coffee houses. I love teaching people the ways to create and enhance their visions and put it on a canvas and see the satisfaction that they have accomplished something.My paintings have recently been featured at The Royal Bean Coffee House, Electric Beanz Coffee Bar and Garden Gate Cafe.

    Jo Cicci is a self-taught (and still learning!) local area artist who currently runs her own business called Outside the Lines Art Instruction, providing one-on-one mentoring and workshops for budding artists ages 5 - 95! She presently runs three after-school programs at the Neighborhood Academy of Music in addition to one-on-one art mentoring there. For her own work, Jo finds her inspiration in the beauty of nature, landscapes, and interesting architecture. Her work consists mostly of acrylics on canvas, but she also creates in oils, charcoal, and pastel. Her work has shown at galleries, the NC State Fair Art Competition, art shows through her church, and at local Raleigh-area coffee houses. Her desire is to help budding Picassos realize their creative potential with no boundaries - outside the lines, so to speak!
