I served in the fire service for 41 years with progressive management responsibilities. During my career I served three years as Provo cities Emergency Manager. This position included accounting, planning, public relations, risk management, grant administration, project oversight, private/public interoperability, contingency planning, continuity of operations, training program compliance and other general management functions. I retired as a Battalion Chief with specialized education and training in advanced special operations including those with regards to homeland security. Along with my strong background in management and customer service I have a good working knowledge in other technical areas such as information technology, process / environmental engineering, and the construction trades.
