As part of the effort, I greatly simplified the renewal process.

I founded and, supported by an amazing board of directors, lead the non-profit Global Meteorite Association to fulfill its mission:1) Promote the enjoyment of collecting meteorites as a hobby.2) Educate members and the public on meteorite related topics.3) Increase confidence in the authenticity of meteorites and integrity of the transactions based on a code of ethics and standards.4) Encourage the participation of “citizen scientists” in meteorite research and related sciences.5) Establish a board culture dedicated to effective governance and to service for its members and the community beyond.I developed all of the foundational documents, architected the website, created all collateral from logo to banners, lead the all volunteer board of directors, and am presently learning to delegate more of my duties.

VumedIQ sought to bridge the gap between medical technology, patients and/or medically high-risk individuals, and doctors by providing medically relevant, actionable and correlated vital signs information to doctors and care providers. VumedIQ's services were based on a disposable instrumented patch that collected and processed heart sinus, temperature, respiration, motion and blood oximetry. Vumediq was at the leading edge of disposable and wearable biosensor technology providing services and product to hospitals and closed loop providers. Vumediq also targeted consumers with a reduced functionality product to provide elder care monitoring to families and care providers.• Defined value proposition and differentiators based on competitive landscape and complex ecosystem dependencies.• Defined the semiconductor architecture, functionality and block diagrams and developed the product marketing requirements.• Researched the instrumented patch as a consumer product including ergonomics, consumer behavior, manufacturing challenges, ecosystem accelerators and roadblocks.• Created the VumedIQ name and brand, and led transition from Adigy to VumedIQ. • Presented to venture capital investors, met with physicians and market influencers to fund company.

Reporting to CEO and CTO.• Saved company over $3.5M by quickly killing, with approval of key stakeholders, a pre-existing and poorly defined set-top box (STB) tuner project that I was originally hired to lead.• Identified satellite LNB opportunity. Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Serial Line Interface (SLIC) products• Led business due-diligence on $16M acquisition of Silicon Magike (PoE and SLIC products).• Integrated team of 11 engineers and 4 products within 3 months of acquisition.• Managed business and products to meet aggressive acquisition milestones and new commercial goals.GSM/GPRS Power Amplifier • Championed from inception to production, amidst difficult technical challenges, the world’s first commercially successful GSM power amplifier in CMOS (Si4300). • Led 10+ person cross-functional team including applications engineering, test, manufacturing technology, and quality as well as co-managed RF mixed signal design engineering team.• Managed all inbound and outbound marketing, and early customer engagements.• Worked closely with major cell phone ODMs/OEMs in Europe, US and Asia as well as emerging Shenzhen handset manufacturers. Launched in 2004, product continued to ship volume of 2-4M/month in 2008.Aero GSM transceiver & Synthesizer• Initiated successful introduction and business development activities for first CMOS GSM transceiver (Aero) in Taiwan and China leading to new strategic relationships with BenQ, Quanta, ChiMei, HTC and others.• Identified new CMOS synthesizer opportunities in WLAN (802.11b) and satellite radio then addressed them by driving operationally efficient changes to an existing synthesizer product. Won reference design sockets then, by developing and working with OEMs and ODMs, achieved revenues of $9M from all 1st generation XM Radios and RFMD WLAN designs.

Sound & Vibration Instrument Group• Founded and built the Sound & Vibration Instrument group into one of company’s fastest growing product lines. • Identified requirements, defined analog and digital architecture, recruited and managed team of 6+ people, designed large portion of FPGA system, and coordinated cross-functional teams including production and sales. • Released 5 products simultaneously and drove group to achieve first year sales of over $4.0M.Data Acquisition Group • Designed initial architecture and products for VXI data acquisition product line. • Designed precision DC calibration system and converted processing algorithm into real-time assembly code.
