    I supported the basic industries rating teams (analysts issuing credit ratings for companies in the metals, mining, chemical & forestry/paper industries). I adjusted financial statements to reflect the true economic condition of these firms. These adjustments included off-balance sheet pension liabilities, operating leases, off-balance sheet account receivables securitization and company specific adjustments. I discussed the specifics of these adjustments (and at times explained these adj due to US GAAP changes or differences between US and Canadian GAAP) with the analyst in order to insure that we have the most appropriate outcome. I also updated rating methodologies, which are industry specific reports using micro-economic drivers to generate an indicated rating.
