Facilitates after-sales service support of YOKOGAWA Industrial automation business unit by providing technical expertise for engineering, modification, and troubleshooting for Distributed Control System (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (Prosafe-RS) and Solution-Based Packages (Exa-Series) for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical complexes in KSA mainly Saudi Aramco and SABIC.As an integral part of the technical support team, my job responsibilities include,• Design infrastructure, Integrate application and provide support for a managed set of Yokogawa control system technologies installed at upstream & downstream facilities of oil & gas and various petrochemical complex throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. • Supervise Service Projects related to addition & modification of DCS control system hardware, software, and application.• Conduct and Lead FAT, IFAT, SAT, Commissioning and Startups for DCS & SIS service projects.• Review contractors/end-user documents related to system modification, signals hookups, and control strategies before execution and implementation.• Utilize troubleshooting techniques to identify the root cause of problems in Yokogawa Industrial Automation products involving control system (hardware, software and network), Plant Asset Management (PRM), SIS & PIMS system and effectively resolves them with stakeholders inputs.• Conducting Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Shutdown Maintenance (SDM) health checks for the complete Yokogawa Control System (hardware & software) including HMI to ensure smooth & uninterrupted operation.• Conduct health diagnostics for control system network including Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches.• Evaluate and implement system-hardening strategies in DCS Control System and Control System Network infrastructure in line with Yokogawa guidelines.• Provide control system technical support for commissioning and plant startup activities.

Major responsibilities as a system engineer include engineering, execution and commissioning of projects and services jobs for Yokogawa Distributed Control System (DCS) in the southern region of the country i.e. Sindh and Balochistan. As part of the System engineering team, the responsibilities include,• Supporting the sales team with technical proposals development and technical queries for Yokogawa control system. • Review of customer inputs for design and detail engineering development for the control system.• Reviewing engineering deliverables to the customer for approval and to factory as per project delivery milestone schedule and budget baseline.• Preparation of BOQ’s based upon design documents and engineering proposals.• Preparation of engineering documents and functional design specifications.• Development of control system (DCS) application based upon the documents and control strategies from the client’s design team/consultant.• Conduction of FAT, IFAT and SAT for Yokogawa DCS systems.• Perform onsite execution, development, and modification for Yokogawa control system application.• Provide commissioning and start-up support for Yokogawa control system.• Provide technical services for engineering modifications and troubleshooting in the control system to AMC customers in the region.

As an Assistant Engineer E&I for P&G Nanga Dry Laundry Project at Etimaad Engineering Pvt. Ltd.; the major EPC Company for this project, my role responsibilities include,• Supervision and leading project construction work related to Instrumentation and Control system installation, commissioning and loop checks as per the applicable drawings i.e. P&ID’s, Instrument hookup drawings, ILD’s, construction drawings, etc.• Managing and facilitating the sub-contractors teams for Instrumentation and control jobs execution under the project scope.• Manage the coordination between sub-contractor, client and EPC contractor for Instrumentation and controls discipline for smooth and timely jobs execution as per project schedule.• Conduct progress meetings with the teams and reporting to management and client.

As a Trainee Engineer Instrumentation for P&G Nanga Dry Laundry Project at AREVA T&D Pakistan; the sub-contractor Company of Etimaad Engineering for Electrical and Instrumentation scope of the project, my role responsibilities include,• Supervising technician’s team for the project construction and installation work related to plant Instrumentation and generating progress reports against the assigned tasks. • Perform pre-loops checks for the instrument from field till rack rooms.• Supporting the main contractor during loop checks and troubleshooting for rectification of problems found during loop checks.
