Finding your first Nursing career within the hospital can seem intimidating. I am dedicated to take some of that pressure off of you by partnering as a resource for you, to help advocate for you, and help you find your home with one of our dedicated Nursing teams at HCA Healthcare! At HCA Healthcare, our Nurse Extern position is an entry level, patient facing role where you will be working directly with patients within the hospital! This position will give you the opportunity to get real life experience with what you are learning in school making it easier for you to identify where you want to work as an RN once you graduate! Our goal is to support you during your time as a Nurse Extern and help you secure an RN position with HCA Healthcare upon graduation! As an internal employee, our Nurse Externs are given priority for interviewing for the Nurse Residency after graduation. Once you get closer to graduation you will become eligible for our Nurse Residency program which is a full time, paid Registered Nurse position that provides you with specialty specific training. I am proud to say that I work for HCA Healthcare! I am amazed at all we do for our patients, staff, and employees. I received my B.S. in Marketing at Virginia Commonwealth University - School of Business. I knew I wanted to help people and what better way to do so than supporting HCA Healthcare and future Nurses!
