Owen Blicksilver is a long-time public relations practitioner. Most recently he was President -New York for Lambert, following Lambert’s acquisition of Owen Blicksilver Public Relations, Inc. (Blicksilver PR). Founded in 2001, Blicksilver PR was an independent, specialty practice firm that focused on communications for corporate and real estate private equity firms, financial institutions, crises and special situations, as well as select litigation and investor relations assignments. Both firms have ranked among the top U.S. M&A/private equity communications advisors for the past 20 years.Blicksilver continues to serve as Senior Counsel to Lambert through his successor company, OBPR, Inc., and he also provides counsel to other financial PR firms and one-off assignments in non-competitive situations. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Asia Times and is author of a profile of Weijian Shan, the CEO of Asian alternative investment firm, PAG, which appeared in the Asia Times in September 2020.Over his career, Blicksilver has represented approximately 25 private equity and related firms, including global funds, middle-market, venture capital and real estate funds, and advisory firms. Blicksilver has managed communications for companies undergoing change or crisis, including significant bankruptcies in the airline and manufacturing industries. Prior to forming Blicksilver PR, Blicksilver spent more than three years with Incepta, plc as a Principal and as Executive Vice President at Dewe Rogerson. Immediately prior to joining Incepta in 1998, Blicksilver served for more than 11 years as a founder, Managing Director and co-head of Principal Communications, a corporate and financial public relations agency that served as the corporate public relations subsidiary of GCI Group.Prior to founding Principal Communications in 1987, Blicksilver served for more than three years as a principal with Adams & Rinehart Inc., a corporate and financial public relations agency,Earlier in his career, he served as communications advisor to McGraw-Hill Publications Co., the NYC Mayor’s office, and to a US Congressman.Owen Blicksilver earned a B.A. in History from Brooklyn College
