Lead and manage a global remote team responsible for working with clients and stakeholders to recommend, design, and manage security solutions to improve the organization’s security posture, functionality, and efficiency. Develop and add new security functionality to current systems and support the installation and configuration of those security solutions. Identify requirements, dependencies, constraints, gaps, and direction to design, deploy, enhance, or migrate security capabilities to a variety of cloud infrastructures.

Led and managed (performance reviews, mentoring, training, hiring, firing, budgeting, and demand analysis and forecasting) a remote team of eight security engineers responsible for the implementation, administration, operation, and management of thirty technical security controls. Security controls included anti-virus, application security, data access management, data loss prevention, encryption, endpoint detection and response, intrusion prevention, multi-factor authentication, public key infrastructure, security orchestration automation and response, user behavior analysis, vulnerability management, web application firewall, and web filtering. Led the effort to implement and migrate security controls to the Azure cloud in support of the business’s cloud initiative.

Supported forty offerings through the Security and Privacy by Design pipeline, and their transition to SaaS, IaaS, PaaS based solutions in the IBM/Softlayer cloud. Additional responsibilities included, audit compliance, RFP support, risk management, incident management, threat intelligence, threat modeling, secure coding, and security operations functions.
