A very varied role, which was heavily based around client contact and the support of their financial analytical software and provision of financial data feeds.I built strong, direct client relationships, working on anything from small support queries right through to leading large systems/software implementations and floor-wide training to established, well-known investment firms.

I also liaised with third parties regarding the establishment of GIAs, ISAs, SIPPs and Offshore Bonds, and the transfer of financial securities into the team's management.

This meant liaising closely with my colleagues and being clear on what our expectations were of each other- I was studying towards professional financial qualifications; namely the Diploma of Financial Planning. I was a long way into the R01 exam.Overall this position was designed to build a client base and provide that client base with a service in financial planning in all three of the major areas of pensions, insurance and investments. After a short period of time spent climbing a very steep learning curve I feel I have learnt a great deal about the financial services industry; sales and how an Independent Financial Advisory firm operates, especially in the dominion of fee based financial services.
