I gained experience on the design side getting projects, such as A320, through testing stages and all the different required engineers approval. As exciting as that was understanding the paperwork side to manufacturing, it was where the designers and stress engineers worked, so I took time to rub elbows and understand the programs they used. Also had worked at riverside plant first hand understanding the implementation of SixSigma and lean manufacturing with composite cowlings and giant autoclaves. My senior project was funded by myself and pitched to the SDSU Zahn Innovation Center, a business startup incubator. Moberg Medical was created, my medical device innovation was accepted and access to Mintz, to professional 3D printing lab, to cs majors, business majors and other electrical engineering students interested in the early process of a business. This was an amazing experience and a dream to have a team focused on my idea/product. The last 8 years have been spent in the construction industry specifically in the HVAC consulting engineering. The time I spent in college and in my career has given me a vast knowledge in different avenues of engineering but also leading young engineers and other peers. My goal with this company was to try to create a user friendly blood pressure device that gave real time data of blood pressure and pulse. This idea came from my experiences on dialysis. A major concern on dialysis is blood pressure and it is directly related to fluid retention.I learned the engineering design, component selection, electrical analysis, electronic troubleshooting, prototype assembly & programming the interface. I worked with my programmer to develop a program to accurately read blood pressure. Business side, I learned market segmentation & market analysis to create a beachhead market and end user. Also finding value proposition and market research from customer interviews.
