Working with VCSE groups and organisations of all shapes and sizes, from small community groups to larger charities and social enterprises, to build the capacity, capability and sustainability of the VCSE sector in Bury.

Part of the small but highly dedicated Social Investment team at GMCVO, providing investment to trading charities and social enterprises seeking to develop their trading and grow their social impact. My main areas of responsibility were reporting on the delivery of various funds to our various funders, ensuring the smooth-running of the many Investment Panel meetings and sorting out the contracting for the 80+ investments made to a diverse range of Third Sector organisations from across Greater Manchester. I also fulfilled the secretary role for the Greater Manchester Social Enterprise Network, hosted by GMCVO. From October 2021 to March 2022 I was seconded 2 days a week at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to support the work of the Greater Manchester Social Enterprise Action Group, convened by the GMCA.

As a contracts officer for the Greater Manchester Talent Match programme, my key role was supporting commissioned organisations to deliver on contracts. This entailed a lot of monitoring, reporting, communications and relationship management.This role was a progression from my previous work as a programme administrator.

Administrative support for Greater Manchester Talent Match - a Lottery-funded employment support programme delivered by frontline Third Sector organisations from across Greater Manchester. The programme targeted young people (18-24) who had not been in employment, education or training for 12 months or more, often dealing with multiple and complex barriers. My main responsibilities related to compiling programme outcomes monitoring, providing administrative support for governance meetings, ensuring the smooth-running of the programme's payment-by-results model and supporting programme events.Outside my job spec, I developed expertise in evaluation report writing. I devised the evaluation methodology, data analysis and wrote up an evaluation report for an event designed to bring together young people and employers, to discuss the challenges of finding work.In my time as a Talent Match administrator I developed a good knowledge of the voluntary sector in Greater Manchester, the strengths and challenges of partnership work and project management skills.In 2018, I was promoted to the role of Contracts Officer for the Greater Manchester Talent Match programme.

Part-time secondment at the GMCA to support the work of the Greater Manchester Social Enterprise Action Group (SEAG). The SEAG is made up of social enterprise leaders from across Greater Manchester, working with the GMCA, other partners and local social enterprise networks to create a thriving social enterprise sector in Greater Manchester.
