Assigned to ExxonMobil Research and Engineering (EMRE) global headquarters. Created a new role at Corporate HQ responsible for global energy system (boilers, turbines, steam generators, and fired heaters) improvement efforts centered on blocking and tackling efforts and re-design of process units to optimize energy per-formance.Assigned to ExxonMobil Refining and Supply fuels refinery plant site to perform daily tech service functions, process monitoring, and day-to-day process problem solving. Provided technical support for risk assessments, HAZOP reviews, startup and shutdown activities, and unit troubleshooting. Unit assignments included De-layed Coking Unit, Utility Systems (Water Treatment, Boilers, Turbine Optimization, & Expanders), Flare Systems, Wetgas Scrubber, Cooling Towers, and Wastewater Treatment.Led and stewarded site-wide energy performance and energy initiatives by gaining alignment with refinery management, developing the refinery energy business plan, and coordinating work with the unit business teams. Performed energy and mass balances to provide analysis and reporting for energy OPEX that led to several best ever months in energy performance.
