Requirements gathering through to operational handover and acceptance.Technologies involved; Network and security (Cisco and Checkpoint), Citrix Netscalers (CAG and Load Balancing), F5 (Load balancing), Virtualisation (VMware and HyperV), Servers (Dell), Storage (Dell Compellent and HP 3PAR), Citrix 7.X, LyncShield (To provide secure mobile device access to Lync), Polycom (Integration between current video conferencing estate and Lync) as well as Mitel and Sonus (Integration between current telephony estate and Lync – Inbound only). -

Managing a diverse range of internal and external resources.Projects included; HyperV virtual platform design and implementation (HP servers and switches, NetApp SAN), New resilient 2008 Domain and Exchange 2010 DAG, Domain migration from 2003 AD to 2008 AD (approx. 140 users), Email migration from Exchange 2003 to 2010 DAG (approx. 200 mailboxes), Data migration and consolidation, SAGE 200 accounts and payroll solution (including migration from Epicor), New Blackberry enterprise server solution and migration, New Voice over IP (Telephony) platform and system separation (Shortel), Data centre move, SharePoint 2013 implementation and migration from 2010, SQL server (2003 and 2008) migration and consolidation, Checkpoint firewall upgrade and migration (resilient stretched pair), physical to virtual and virtual to virtual (VMware to Hyper) migration, DMZ relocation, Remote desktop services design and implementation with web access, define and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plan, strategy, policies and procedures, DR and BCP delivery, consolidated hybrid CommVault backup solution (to disk and cloud) and migration from fragmented multi system 100% tape solution, new internet and DR P2P circuits, assimilation of all staff and IT services of a sister company as part of a site merger.Ran multiple concurrent tenders and contract negotiations with a total contract value of over £600k and delivering the above while reducing annual IT operational costs by around 35%. Other responsibilities included; Defining, developing and aligning the Businesses IT strategy. IT compliance with ISO27001. Managing all IT suppliers, invoices and POs. Compliance and documentation. Stakeholder management upto C suite level.
