As a budding entertainment producer, Owen has covered stories in a variety of formats, including radio, print, photography and video, creating extensive content for outlets like The Scene Magazine and CKCU. His work is on various platforms including Soundcloud, Wordpress, Flickr and more. As a radio host Owen has been able to connect the local community through shared stories, interesting news, music and interviewing interesting people, as well as managing the added responsibilities that come with running a weekly show. Through video and print he's covered business, local and national issues, and brought important causes to light, from stories of the oppressed and disadvantaged, to amazing success stories. Owen has also elevated much of this content through added photography and mixing mediums to suit the story.In addition to his multimedia toolset Owen is also trilingual, speaking English, French and Spanish, and is not only able to understand and translate stories from foreign sources but understand the deeper cultural context they come from and write about them in whichever language is necessary. His work in multimedia has given him extensive knowledge of softwares including Premiere, Photoshop, Audition, Audacity, Final Cut Pro and more. He has also worked as a communications intern in the House Of Commons for NDP MP Peter Julian, assisting in speech writing for Question Period and correspondence to his constituents.
