Head of Department - line manage teachers, take a lead on management of department (including implementing development plans and risk assessments), ensure CPD within department is up to date and relevant, implement recording systems to allow for quick intervention when students are underperforming, manage trips and extra curricular involvement of students.Housemaster - take a pastoral lead on the development of all students within the House in order to ensure that all students receive a high quality experience within the House, manage the implementation of the School’s boarding and safeguarding policies, line manage House tutors, organise trips and evening activities.

Resident Assistant Housemaster role included overnight cover, taking a tutor group of boarders, organising evening and weekend events and taking an active role in understanding / implementing the School’s boarding and safeguarding policies.

Taking a lead on the development of teaching and learning at Barnsley Sixth Form College, including mentoring Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and development of the College’s NQT programme, leading on Continued Professional Development (CPD) across the College and observing/coaching teachers across the College.
