Owen Rees is Head of Capital Planning within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. With over 15 years' experience in project management and associated support functions spanning several sectors, including the Oil and Gas industry, private sector consultancy, social housing, higher education and health, Owen appreciates the breadth of skills, tools and techniques necessary for project success. A demonstrable track record of successfully delivering high value and complex projects and of meeting performance targets. Excellent specialist knowledge of capital planning processes is combined with proven skills in effective people management and communication, maintaining a strong understanding of the importance of stakeholder relationships.Owen's focus on the built environment has seen the delivery of over £75m worth of construction related activity in the Higher Education sector alone, currently managing a large portfolio of projects within the health sector.Owen holds a Masters Degree in Surveying from Reading University and the College of Estate Management, is a full member of the APM and a registered PRINCE2® practitioner.
