In my current role as a Senior Innovation Consultant, I lead and manage complex innovation projects, ensuring successful delivery from conception to completion. My responsibilities include:- Leading scoping and discovery sessions with clients to develop project proposals that outline clear and achievable deliverables.- Collaborating with Legal and Finance teams to ensure proposals are appropriately costed and contracted.- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.- Acting as the project lead, translating briefs, assigning team roles, planning approaches, and building design toolkits for each project phase.- Line managing and supporting Innovation Consultants as part of the delivery team.- Conducting and supervising desk-based research and analysis using a wide range of resources.- Managing a portfolio of projects, providing effective project and budget management against key metrics and milestones.- Ensuring projects are delivered on budget.- Communicating regularly with clients on progress, acting as the main point of contact.- Facilitating and moderating interviews, workshops, digital ethnographic and panels to gather citizen insights on user needs and desires.- Producing detailed outputs, reports, and case studies that present key findings from various sources.- Leading project reviews to analyze lessons learned and apply them to future projects.- Providing content for marketing and communications staff. - Contributing to and further developing processes and methodologies.I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including:multinational pharmaceutical companies, startups in the medical device sector (SymPhysis)sports and fitness brands (Kymira and IDA Sports)national care brands BelleVie and Anchormultinational apparel brands.

In this role, I supported the delivery of one of NICA’s flagship programmes, the UK-China Healthy Ageing Innovation Stream (HAIS). Thus far I have played a key role in the delivery of several milestones across a range of activities in the programme, including citizen engagement, digital platform development, bilateral business innovation missions, dissemination, and accelerator programmes. I have also supported the wider delivery of NICA services to both SEM and blue-chip firms. Specific responsibilities in the role include:• Actively researching, supplying, and analysing complex intelligence, sourcing the most culturally innovative insights to fuel and support original, inspiring, and engaging trend forecasts.• Project managing the creation and delivery of a bespoke digital platform that will be used to collect citizen insights in Beijing.• The production of high-quality dissemination materials, including large scale exhibitions, trend reports, brochures, and blog material.• The translation of research into appropriate formats (including slide decks, editorial articles, imagery, and infographics) according to brand guidelines and templates.• Supporting in consultation and delivery of research to partners and clients.• Ensuring projects remain on time, using time analysis to improve the quality and efficiency of work.• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions and overcome complex challenges indicative of working in the Chinese market.

Supporting the WWT Washington marketing and communications department with the creation of imagery to be used across different visual mediums, including social media, print and digital content.

In this role, I supported in the delivery of high quality, research lead futures forecasting, consulting with a wide variety of SMEs and blue chip companies. By helping them anticipate change in their market, the forecasts enable global brands to create products and services that allow them to stay ahead and relative in their markets. Specific responsibilities in the role include;• Actively researching, supplying and analysing intelligence, sourcing the most culturally innovative insights to fuel and support original, inspiring and engaging forecasts.• To be an expert in insights, understanding what influences consumers across different geographies, cultures and economies.• The translation of research into appropriate formats (including slide decks, editorial articles, imagery and infographics) according to brand guidelines and templates.• Support in consultation and delivery of research to clients throughout the projects, tailoring forecasts to the companies, brand-specific needs.•Provide engaging trend presentations, workshops and seminars to clients across the globe.•Ensure projects remain on time and in the budget, using time analysis to improve the quality and efficiency of work.

Employed by Teesside University on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership for one year to review innovation within Godfrey Syrett Ltd, a contract furniture manufacturer. I was subsequently able to highlight strengths and weaknesses in their system together with proposals on how to improve their design process. Specific examples of work undertaken include;• Communicated and championed the importance of innovation across the business.• Held in-depth stakeholder meetings to review the companies current in-house approach to design.• Conducted a deep dive Situational Analysis Report, reviewing the following areas of the business relating to new product development; Design process, Design Calendar, Stakeholder communications and motivations, R&D capabilities and target consumers.• Lead early work in sensitising the company to the Higher• Education/Further education markets.• Engaging with clients; potential suppliers, manufacturing partners and companies.• Produced concept work for a number of design projects including a piece of test machinery and acoustic panelling solutions

• Designed concepts for a range of teething toys using a number of skills including, research, ideation, sketching, development and presentation visuals.• Worked in a team with another design intern to redesign and add to the current toddler tableware range.• Successfully presented range ideas to marketing, quality, sale and head of design.• Concepts very well received.• Supported in-house design employees on any briefs they were undertaking by developing detailed sketches, ideas and research elements. Created a range of toddler toothbrushes.
