A Functional Leader, I develop the team’s strategy, making the most of the skills and attributes of the various team members. I work with senior leaders in Product Development and Product Management to ensure that the Safety and Compliance team has the resources to complete their required work quickly and efficiently. I am responsible for ensuring the team is working towards a common goal with purpose and is aligned with the higher level business strategy. This is discussed on a one-on-one basis during weekly meetings, as well as during whole team meetings aimed at making the team a more cohesive, high performance unit.I work with team members to help develop their skills, and encourage growth, resilience, and self-motivation. I am responsible for the overall performance of the Product Safety and Compliance team, ensuring that each team member understands how their work fits into the wider business strategy, helping them to prioritise their work to achieve optimal project outcomes, and ultimately are able to work autonomously.

Safety and compliance testing of cooking and dishwashing products.

I manage the team of product evaluators for cooking and dishwashing appliances. We are consumer advocates in the design process, as well as ensuring that all new products meet or exceed both internal and international performance standards, as well as ensuring positive customer interactions in terms of usability, and safety. The product performance team is involved in all aspects of new product development, from initial concept to final production.
