Retired from IBMI have been at IBM for 25 years and one month and July 31, 2024 will be my last day. When I lived in San Diego, CA, I started out in Transarc which was bought by IBM nine months after I started. I started out (billable) consulting on WebSphere v3.0 projects (installs, development of servlets and EJBs, integration with MQ, Web Services, etc.). We were in fierce competition with BEA WebLogic back then. Slowly, I followed the path to WebSphere Process Server, then Lombardi Teamworks, then IBM BPM, then IBM BAW and on to CP4BA (I know most of you have no idea what these acronyms mean, that's ok).I have worked at easily over 100 customers along the way and that was always the most fun because there was so much technology to learn and problems to solve. Some notable ones are: eBay, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Sears, Cisco, Gap, Fannie Mae, HSBC, UMB, and so many more.I have had the opportunity to work in the USA, Canada, Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Spain, United Kingdom. Netherlands, you get the picture. I estimate I have flown about five million miles so far.Since April 2022, I have been the Workflow Product Manager. It has been really a pleasure working in this role helping to manage BAW releases and, again, working with IBM customers.
