Main responsibilitiesUnderground geological mapping and Exploration of pioneer ground. Involving underground sampling and over 20000 metres of core logging.Direction and supervision of 24 drillers for an extensive 24hr/7day a week long hole drilling program. Grade control and panel development in Potash and Salt districts. Incorporating weekly figures in order to produce a geological report. Sole responsibility for underground exploration drilling in Polyhalite. Unique to our mine. Supervision and use of a Niton XRF. Training and supervision of other geologists and mine personnel. Maintain high levels of communication between geological, technical, and operational personnel.All needing detailed Datamine, AutoCAD and Access computer software knowledge.

Cambodia

Main responsibilities working for Angkor Gold CorpSetting up and directing an exploration campaign in the Cambodian Jungle as the main field geologist. Involving termite mound sampling, river sampling, and completion of a geological survey across the region. Utilising language skills in order to best convey any instructions. Carrying out remote field mapping for 7 weeks in this pioneer region of 50km². Developing an in depth knowledge of the region for potential development. Maintaining one main resupply camp and several fly camps throughout the 7 weeks. Training and coaching junior Cambodian geologists in order for their assistance in regional mapping and leadership of different sampling areas. The production of regional geological maps of varying scales (ArcGIS), a detailed regional petrology (Thin section analysis, SEM, XRD and Terraspec)and statistical analysis combining geochemical, geophysical and weight percentage data in order to suggest mineral targets for further investigation.
