We are a group of local Christians who go out on the streets in Barnsley on Friday and Saturday nights helping people who are in distress due to the effects of, drink, drugs, crime or anything else that is troubling them. Since we started in April 2010 we have seen a drop in anti-social behaviour and we feel we have made a significant difference to the lives of many of the people we have been able to help.

As an individual do you feel your voice isn’t being heard?Ensuring that people have a voice in what happens in their town is of paramount importance to us. No longer involved with Barnsley Academy. That's a pity as I really do feel we were heading in the right direction and much work had been done to recruit a new governing body capable of moving the school forward. However, others felt different so it was time to say goodbye.

I am a past Magistrate having served in Barnsley for over 28 years. During my time I was chair of both Adult and Youth Courts. I was also chair of the Fines Enforcement Panel and a chair of the Dedicated Drugs Court. I also acted as a mentor to new magistrates and an appraiser for sitting magistrates for over 10 years.
