Responsible for evaluating the delivery and outcomes of the Green and Healthy Frome Programme (GHF). GHF is a partnership between Frome Town Council, Frome Medical Practice and Edventure Frome funded by the National Lottery Climate Action Fund. The programme delivers a range of initiatives, including active travel, home energy efficiency, social prescribing, and building networks through skills development and project residencies. These initiatives are specifically developed to support the community to realise co-benefits of taking action to improve their health and the climate. Responsibilities include using mixed quantitiative and qualitative research methods to understand the impact of the programme's activities. In particular, monitoring outputs in respect to carbon dioxide emissions, cost savings, behavioural changes, health impacts and engagement. Working with project team, partners and participants to collect data through online participant surveys, interviews, focus groups and paricipant observation. Ensuring ethical research practice and compliance with data protection regulations.Communicating outputs through various media, including reports to funders and other stakeholders, papers and policy briefs, blogs, seminars, conferences and other events. Engaging diverse audiences, including funders, academia, policy and the local community.

Principal Investigator for Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)-funded research project through the Unconventional Hydrocarbons in the UK Energy System (UKUH) programme, following a successful grant application to an open call for proposals. Entitled Public Engagements with Induced Seismicity: Lessons for Geothermal Energy in the Net-Zero Transition, I am responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing qualitative research with experts, industry, policy stakeholders, and impacted communities, ensuring adherence to ethical research policies. Interpretation and Computer Aided Qualitative Data Analysis (CAQDAS) using NVIVO software. Writing and dissemination of research findings in research briefs, reports and peer-reviewed articles. Participation in UKUH synthesis and impact events, annual meetings, seminars and conferences, presenting research findings and engaging in group discussions. Working with project partners and UKUH colleagues, building a network for knowledge-sharing towards future research funding opportunities.

Research on the failure of the UK shale gas industry and future for geo-energy in the low-carbon transition.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in EU Shale Gas, working on ESRC Future Research Leaders project “Geo-logics and Geo-politics: The Collective Governance of European Shale Gas Development.”

Assisting the Director of the International Water Security Network (IWSN) with tasks associated with a portfolio of initiatives, most particularly the IWSN, the UWE Global Water Security Programme and the Research Excellence Framework (REF) Impact Case Study exercise. The position also entails the writing up of existing and new research into project outputs including reports, blogs and publishable papers; and the preparation of related funding bids.

Preparation and delivery of lectures in the following modules/subject areas:- Advanced Geographic Expedition, Iceland (Level 2) – assisting with the planning and preparation and organisation of student learning, fieldwork and exercises over a 2-week expedition in Iceland.- Managing Global Resources (Level 2) – focussing on global/regional/local water resource management in the global north and south.- Integrated Water Management (Level 3) – with an emphasis on ecosystem-based catchment management and water harvesting in developed and developing world contexts.- Environmental Management in the Global South (Level 3) – particularly focussing on rural environmental issues, land management, climate change, political ecology, forms of knowledge and [neo]colonialism.- Water management: challenges for the 21st century (MSc) – focussing on contested access to water, transboundary water issues, water conflict, commodification and privatisation of water resources.- Environmental Business Skills (MSc) – water management, policy and law.- Environment and Sustainability (Foundation) – a session on managing global water resources.Responsibilities for all of the above included effective provision of learning materials including relevant literature and multi-media, facilitation of online learning and discussion boards, marking exams and provision of student support.
