As an Aerospace Engineer, my goal is to find unique, effective, and sustainable solutions to complex problems. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have become enamored with many different facets of the engineering process, ranging from the design level to the final manufacturing phases. My wealth of experiences both at a highly ranked engineering school and at a renowned business jet manufacturing company has given me an intense devotion the aerospace industry as well as engineering and design as a whole. Some of my personal proficiencies which I believe outline my skillset the best are as follows:• Computer Aided Design and simulation: Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA V5, ANSYS. This includes simulation packages such as Solidworks Flow or ANSYS Structural. Obtained a professional certification for Solidworks Mechanical Design.• Graphical, technical, and manufacturing communications: Engineering drawings, technical writing, translating engineering design details to manufacturing specifications, communicating between engineering and manufacturing teams.• Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing procedures: First-hand experience with several aerospace production processes obtained from the production floor of the G500/G600 aircraft. • Project budget management: Oversaw the $1500 budget for a senior capstone project. Utilized knowledge of efficient manufacturing processes and efficient material selections to ultimately keep the project cost down to roughly 2/3 of the budget provided by the NC Forest ServiceMy time at North Carolina State University and Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation has prepared me for the rigorous workload and challenging problems that will face me as an engineer, especially as fields such as the aerospace industry enter a period of rapid evolution as the surge towards sustainability continues to accelerate. I eagerly anticipate what new experiences and knowledge I will obtain as I enter the workforce as an engineer.
