At Keenan and Associates I am tasked with assisting the renewal process for self insurance among the JPA's in the California school districts. I will do this by joining Account Executive meetings in the month of June before the deadline. I also will be providing research for the sales team as well as travelling to various events to grow my experience in sales. Throughout the summer I will also be shadowing various departments outside of sales to better grow my business knowledge. I look to meet new people and understand the Insurance selling process during the summer internship.

I assisted the pro shop by cleaning golf carts, picking up the driving range, or working the starter. On occasions I opened up the golf course by preparing golf and the driving range. I also helped organize tournaments and assisting the tournament director.

I continued to relearn my cost accounting and managerial accounting knowledge while also training other students who didn't understand the material. I was able to tutor students who struggled and get them prepared for exams and quizzes. I would use my past experience and knowledge and try to apply it in a way that made sense to them. I was also tasked with grading students homework weekly and got experienced with certain grading websites and more exposure to how other students can solve problems in the accounting feild.

I created work schedules for the entire summer with all the employees, trying to navigate through different people's availability and time off. I also organized and planned the summer swim lessons as the head of the project. that project included sales of over $40,000 for the pool and ran very smoothly the entire summer. Learned the correct way to discipline workers who were underperforming or not doing their job correctly. I provided and organized training days at the beginning of the summer and middle of the summer to ensure that everyone was doing their job in a safe manner. I also dealt with customer service questions regarding memberships, complaints, swim lesson questions, and other needs. This job included a promotion in my final summer there to become the pool manager.
