I am an accomplished CEO & public company board member who has worked in multiple industries and professionals services for 35 years. I have a strong background in corporate strategy, am a financial expert, have deep cyber security experiences, completed many acquisitions & dispositions, created multiple crisis & risk managment programs, dealt with activists and unsolicited bids, and have extensive customer, marketing, strategic alliance, regulatory & public relations experiences. I serve as the Lead Independent Director of Blackline, a NASDAQ listed SaaS tech company. I chair the Audit, Risk & Finance Committee and am a member of the Executive Committee as well as the Governance & Nominating Committee. Recently, I completed 4 years as the CEO, Managing Principal & Chief Strategy Officer of Geller & Co. where I led a 700 person firm that operated an outsourced CFO business and an ultra high net-worth multi-family office.Prior to Geller I served as CEO of AEGIS Insurance, a global Top 10 property and casualty excess & surplus lines insurer with $2 billion of capital.I was recruited to AEGIS from Deloitte where I served for 8 years as CEO of Deloitte Advisory, a risk & financial advisory practice. This business had $6 billion in revenues and 13k US & 30k global professionals where our mission was to create & protect value for clients.During my professional services career, I focused on strategic consulting, corporate governance, capital raising (IPOs and debt), forensics, cyber security, regulatory matters, M&A, restructuring and auditing– with a financial services focus. My international experience includes 2 years living in France and serving clients in 25+ countries in Europe and Asia. As a Senior Partner, I handled some of the Firm’s largest or fastest growing clients as well as some of their most difficult political, regulatory or service issues. I served as a member of Deloitte’s US & Global Executive Committee for many years as well as the Global Board with a lead role on their Audit, Finance & Risk Committee. I served as a leader of Deloitte’s US and Global Financial Services practice and was a member of their Global FSI Board. I served on Deloitte’s Board for their auditing business as well as their French subsidiary. I previously served as COB of Peer Forward, and Vice Chair of the Board of New Jersey City University.I have coauthored a textbook on M&A and earned my MBA from Columbia.My wife and I are blessed with 2 wonderful daughters. I am an avid golfer, average chef and Orange Theory Fitness enthusiast.
