Responsible for driving the growth and effectiveness of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention within the Southern Division (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and Tennessee). Responsible for sustainability, growth and effectiveness of local chapters within the assigned geographic area through board and volunteer development, fundraising, implementation of approved programs, and effective chapter management.

Suicide prevention education for professionals & the community. Advocating for suicide prevention nationally and in Georgia through our Field Advocate Program. Organizing programs for survivors of suicide loss including a yearly candlelight vigil and International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. Organizing yearly Out of the Darkness Community and Campus Walks and other fundraisers. Collaborating with other organizations for mental health awareness as well as suicide prevention events. Overseeing board of directors. Overseeing Associate Area Director. Co-managing chapter social media with Associate Area Director (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest). Grant writing for programs. ASIST trained. Certified safeTALK trainer.

Worked as consultant to organize first Out of the Darkness walks in Georgia. Managed volunteer walk committee, submitted all permits, organized walk route and arranged all rentals. Promoted to Area Director in 2006 following 2 successful walks which raised over $100,000.
