Hello! I am a Software Engineer, Soccer Coach, and Computer Science Researcher in Durham, North Carolina. I am an earnest, enterprising lifelong learner with skills in Android engineering and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of my friends, family and community through my work.Following two amazing years at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in Computer Science with a double minor in Political Science and Spanish. I completed this four-year undergraduate degree in a little over two years through a combination of large course loads and transfer credit from my high school, eager to enter the workforce and gain skills as a Software Engineer. Building on experience from long-term SWE internships at Sift Media and nCino, I began my first full-time role as an Android Engineer at WillowTree in August 2022.While at WillowTree I had the opportunity to create and maintain high-quality Android applications for high-profile clients such as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and T-Mobile. At this time, I was also enrolled in Georgia Tech's Online Master of Science in Computer Science (OMSCS) program, completing graduate coursework in the evenings and weekends alongside my day job. In December 2023 I transitioned to a new role as an Android Engineer at robo-advisor Wealthfront, serving as one of just nine engineers maintaining an application that supports over $60 billion in AUM for clients. In May 2024 I completed my Master's degree, graduating with a specialization in Interactive Intelligence.In addition to my industry work I am passionate about Computer Science Education and researching methods to better prepare students for careers as high-performing Engineers while also integrating human-centered computing and AI Ethics into the classroom. I have taken part in several independent and faculty-guided research projects while a student at Georgia Tech and hope to enroll in a PhD program in the near future. Apart from my professional and academic commitments, I serve as assistant coach for the Men's and Women's Varsity Soccer teams at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) in Durham, leveraging my perspective as a Class of 2020 alum to guide students through their challenging but rewarding high school experiences.
