During final year studies, a Consulting Bootcamp offered by Deloitte was attended during a two week period at the Woodlands Business Park. The bootcamp offered a hands-on exploratory experience into the environment of consulting; and more importantly into working with unique in experience and knowledge types of people that are able to drive the innovative and collaborative solutions. Experience was gained in working on a complex project with a dynamic team, and gaining insight into a practical systems engineering environment.

Absa Towers South - Project Management During the recess period in the second year of studies work experience was gained under the supervision of a Portfolio manager at the Absa Towers South located in Johannesburg. The skills and resources required, and the necessary interaction during projects, was learnt through experience while working in the position. Valuable insight was gained into project management in a corporate environment.Biobrand (Pty) Ltd - Food Safety and General ManagementA newly established soft drinks manufacturing company located in the Kyalami area was in the process of ensuring the facility was in line with what was required for a food safety audit. Work begun as part of a 6 week vacation work internship as per University requirements. After this period, work continued during weekends for further 6 months. Experience in researching a previously unknown area, the fulfilment of documentation, and the development of processes was gained. Furthermore, skills were developed in work methods analysis and improvement, as well as physical aspect changes and implementation in order to meet the required standards .
