Senior at Stephen F. Austin High School, passion for activism and lover of all things creative.I am a creative who has been drawing ever since I was 7 years old, amounting to around 10 years of artistic experience with around 4 years spent on genuine artistic training. I created my own Etsy Shop in the summer of 2022 as a way to earn my own profits and help my parents with finances. My Etsy shop has taught me project management, organizational skills, and problem solving.I have worked as a retail manager for my parents' business for upward of 5 years now, and have learned time-management, quality assurance, business management, social media marketing, graphic design, and customer service. I also have experience training new hires and do well in positions of leadership. Working with the Climate Leaders Fellowship in my junior year, I have taught myself professional communications and how to craft outstanding business proposals. By participating in the Climate Leaders Fellowship, I have also become a leader in my community by advocating for sustainability and introducing composting to my high school.I have attended various camps throughout high school, such as AI Camp where I learned how to create a Natural Language Processing (NLP) AI, Rice Elite Camp where I got my certifications in C++ and 3D Modeling, and the aforementioned Climate Leaders Fellowship. I earned my Python Certification in junior year.Some of my achievements include receiving the National African American Recognition Award from Collegeboard, receiving a Gold Key (Highest Distinction) in the 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and getting professionally published in Shades of Brilliance: Inspiring Works by Young Authors. I have competed in Speech and Debate and Theatre at national and state levels.
